Who We Are
About Us
Founded in 1986 and located in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, Arthroplastics has been a trusted provider of quality water control suction mats for use in the operating room during arthroscopic surgical procedures, as well as any surgical procedure that causes fluid to spill on the operating room floor.
AquaVac® is an effective and economical solution for water control in the operating room during arthroscopic surgical procedures, as well as any surgical procedure that causes fluid to spill on the operating room floor.
AquaVac® is a mat fabricated from a special compound of high-grade rubber, precision-molded to ensure full contract and water seal with the operating room floor. AquaVac® uses standard operating room suction to remove spilled saline before it can pool and spread away from the operative area. AquaVac® has been tested and shown to remove 95% of spillage during arthroscopic surgery.

AquaVac® enchances surgeon comfort and surgical performance with improved footing on an otherwise wet operating room floor. Opearting room turn-over time is greatly reduced by limiting the work required to clean and dry the surgical floor between cases. AquaVac® decreases liability for slips and personnel injury on the wet operating room floor. Rapid removal of potentially contamicanted body fluids in the operating room is an additional benefit of AquaVac®.
STORAGE
AquaVac® should be rolled up and stored in its original shipping carton on a flat surface at room temperature (60 to 84 degrees F). Place the container so that the long, horizontal box surface is flat on the floor. Do not store the shipping carton on its small end, as the live-rubber of the AquaVac® will deform and will then not seal flat to the operating room floor. Also, do not store the AquaVac® simply folded over instead of rolled up, as it should be for any storage application.
AquaVac® has a limited shelf life, during which time the rubber loses plasticizer and stiffens, thereby limiting the ability of AquaVac® to seal to the floor.
